Broiled Pork Chops

Broiled Pork Chops

Ingredients:
  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Mouton’s All Purpose Seasoning, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Turn your oven to broil and let it preheat for 5 minutes.
  2. Season Pork Chops: Generously season both sides of the pork chops with Mouton’s All Purpose Seasoning.
  3. Prepare Baking Sheet: Place a wire rack on a baking sheet. This helps the heat circulate around the pork chops and allows excess fat to drain off. Arrange the pork chops on the rack.
  4. Add Butter: Cut the butter into small slices and place one slice on each pork chop.
  5. Broil First Side: Broil the pork chops for 12 minutes on one side, or until they are starting to brown and caramelize.
  6. Flip and Season: Open the oven and carefully flip the pork chops using tongs. Season the other side with a light dusting of Mouton’s All Purpose Seasoning. Place another slice of butter on each pork chop.
  7. Broil Second Side: Broil for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the pork chops are nicely browned and have reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  8. Rest and Serve: Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve and enjoy!

Tips:

  • For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork chops are cooked to the proper temperature.
  • Adjust the broiling time as needed based on the thickness of the pork chops and your oven's performance.
